Some things I have learned over these past eleven weeks of writing 340 are digging deeper into finding better research on the topic I chose to write about. I learned how to analyze my sources much more easily and come up with my own argument. Some things I have learned about my topic are some more ways how people viewed rappers and their music. I always knew people looked upon rap music as a problem, but I just need to learn more reasons why people looked at it as a problem. The topic of political rap fits into the academic world because it is political. Politics is very academic as you need to be well educated to be able to comprehend. This fits into the real world because it is still rap music and is used to mainly back up the black community and the things we have to deal with on a day-to-day basis. Blogging has for sure kept me on track and helped me document where my journey of researching my topic, and I have really enjoyed it.

I have found all of my sources for my literature review. The only problem I really encountered was finding a musical source for my paper. There are plenty of them that involve politics, so that was not hard. Now I am in the process of reading all of them and writing small abstracts about what each one of them is about.

For my final project, I want to explore and talk about the ideas of rap music and politics. I want to talk about the impact that rap music has on politics and how these artists use their voices and platform to express how they feel about the political things that take place in our country.
